- Why does my newly purchased drive cable
make so much noise?
-
How much power does the grinding spindle use?
- What is the bore
diameter of the point thinning grinding wheel?
The following procedure should lower the noise level considerably for cable
bought after October of 2001:
Attach flexible cable but do not tighten the connections, start the machine
and move point thinning arm into grinding position. Spindle begins to turn with
noise. Hold the flex cable in the middle of the cable and move it up and down as
well as left and right. The noise level changes depending on the position. When
you found the least amount of noise tighten the two connections on the machine
and on the point thinning device.
Motor draws 3.5A in idle position at 115 Volt.
Moderate temperature ok.
Beware not to block air vent by setting unit onto a soft base.
The bore diameter is 7 mm
